This mobile-only web application was engineered to connect consumers directly with fresh coastal catches, delivering ocean-fresh seafood straight to doorsteps. Operating in active beta testing, this web app bridges the gap between traditional dockside freshness and modern mobile commerce. Built to eliminate the friction of native app store downloads, the platform leverages a mobile-first web architecture that prioritizes lightning-fast load times, local search discoverability, and intuitive touch navigation for everyday shoppers.

Mobile-First Indexing & UX: Structured the interface exclusively for handheld viewports, optimizing thumb-zone navigation, touch targets, and layout stability to score top marks on Google Mobile-First Indexing.

Build notes

The app utilizes a hybrid Next.js frontend paired with a modular Node.js backend REST API. By combining Incremental Static Regeneration for static informational pages with SSR for real-time stock levels, this web app ensures maximum indexing efficiency without serving stale data. Desktop access is gracefully constrained via client-side detection to keep the user experience strictly tailored to mobile web browsers throughout the beta rollout.
